My favorite part was discovering gluten-free and lactose-free items at the supermarket, along with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. It was such a great find during our 8-day stay in Saumur — perfect for anyone looking for healthier or dietary-friendly options.
They also have a spacious area where you can find a large selection of products across all categories — from snacks and drinks to daily essentials — all at affordable prices. It really has everything you need in one convenient stop!
Plus, there's a pharmacy and parapharmacy on-site, which makes it even more practical for travelers.

Coming from the USA and spending two weeks in Saumur, I have to say that E.Leclerc was quite a discovery. Honestly, I’ve never seen a supermarket better than the E.Leclerc in Saumur—not even in the States.
The combination of this outstanding hypermarket, the wonderful Saturday morning market, and the excellent boulangerie on Place Saint-Pierre truly makes everyday life in Saumur feel like paradise
